Save the Children Internet Advert

The charity Save the Children have created a web commercial on the dangers of Internet safety for children. The result is a scary yet powerful advert that serves as a reminder thatwe could be talking to anyone on the net, which becomes more dangerous for young children and teenagers who are more likely to take the person they are talking to at face value.

The advert plays on a girl and boy talking online, the boy disappears and the girl goes to change, with scary consequences. This is an amazing advert that really hits home the dangers of internet safety so well done to Save the Children.

Virgin Mobile Idle Thumbs

This advert, which I believe was banned, is a Virgin mobile advert that works on the idea that the devil makes work for idle thumbs.

The advert is based in a hospital and the people in the hospital are all bored so use their thumbs to get up to no good!

I believe the advert was banned because it depicts what some would class as a mental hospital and it also depicts a mangina!!! But I find this a very interesting and clever advert from Mr Bransons Virgin Mobile.

DVLA Car Crushing Advert

The DVLA in the UK have commissioned many adverts recently showing what will happen if people do not pay their car tax and giving easy examples on how people can buy it (Internet, phone, post office etc).

This advert is my favourite in the bunch and shows a man and presumably his girlfriend going back to his car to find it starts being crushed before their eyes, ah the powers of the DVLA!

Renault Twice the Va Va Voom

The Va va voom adverts from Renault moved a step further than the first ones with Theirry Henry when the Twice the va va voom advert came out.

This advert starts with an English man driving a Renault and a French lady also driving a Renault with the song Sinnerman by Nina Simone playing in the background. While driving they talk about what is best about their countries before meeting up at the end where some chemistry between them occurs.

This is a clever play on the old British and French pride that delivers a great va va voom advert.

Kit Kat Airport Arrivals

Following from the Kit Kat supermarket advert the new Kit Kat advert plays on people arriving at the airport and a man acting as if he is the luggage conveyer....hence working like a machine which is the storyline to the advert.

By working like a machine every needs to "Have a break, have a Kit Kat". The new idea behind the new series of Kit Kat adverts is a master piece, they are funny and really do a great deal to advertise Kit Kats.

Well done Kit Kat.

Capri Sun Advert

Based on the idea of Ghostbusters the new Capri Sun advert shows men that have been called out because a supermarket worker has left the fridge open and all the capri sun have escaped.

This advert did make me smile because of the acting really giving the advert a real fun factor to it. The two men chosen as the main characters were definately well cast! The Ghostbusters idea was really good and the car they use is really funny.

To be honest I didnt even know that you could still buy Capri Sun, I use to drink them all the time as a child so this advert also bought back some fond memories of Capri Sun and the Ghostbusters.

Adidas Celebrate Originality Advert

I have never seen an advert packed with so many celebrities and produced so well!

Adidas produced this amazing advert to celebrate its 60th birthday, they really pulled out all the stops and had a MASSIVE birthday party where anyone who is anybody was there. What Adidas have done beggars belief with getting so many famous people like David Beckham, Russell Simmons, Katy Perry, The Ting Tings, Missy Elliot, Method Man, DMC, Estelle, Young Jeezy and Redman in one advert.

This Adidas Celebrate Originality Advert really is one of the best I have ever seen.

Triple Velvet Advert Planting Trees

The new Triple Velvet Advert is probably the cutest advert I have ever seen. The advert, like all new Triple Velvet adverts plays on the fact that the managing director is a little boy, but this time there is a very important message saying that the company is eco friendly and for every tree they use, they plant three!

The adverts sees the pint size managing director saying he loves the environment and especially trees then gives a sterling presentation with the cutest bit of the advert happening at eighteen seconds (all say aaaahhh when you get there).

You really must see this wonderful and cute peice of advertising, all for a toilet roll!

Thompson Holidays

This advert plays on the idea that Thompson staff build the perfect holiday and to me this is a masterpeice of advertising and I love the advert alot.

The advert starts with a blank white canvas and two men come in and start painting it blue, from here sand comes in, trees, shells and the sun among other things...oh and dark clouds are taken away.

This advert really has the Thompson staff building the perfect holiday all the way to unleashing the sun at the end.

This is a great advert.

Ribena Migration Advert

Ribena did a series of "Migration" adverts in 2008 that were great and I loved them (my wife wasnt so keen).

The idea was that all the billions of fruit needed to make Ribena actually migrated by itself to the factory, although not without its problems as the fruit had to make its way past some dangerous situations with awful consiquences.

This version I am posting is one of my favourite versions of the Ribena series although there was another I liked more that I will have to search for and post another time.

Ribena please carry on with some more of these funny and original migration adverts.

Virgin Atlantic Advert

Virgin really went to town on a great and sassy advert. The advert plays on the 1980's past in an airport all dull and lifeless befor beautiful Virgin flight attendants accompanying a Virgin Atlantic pilot all bright and in the Red Virgin colours come strutting through the airport.

From what I understand three thousand people complained that this advert was too sexy and should be banned, in my view this is one amazing advert and a great way for Virgin to advertise that they are "Still red hot" after twenty five years of flying.

Virgin Atlantic I salute you on a great advert!

Carling Belong Space Advert

Following from the success of the Carling explorer advert Carling came up with another great idea, the Carling space advert.

This advert again plays on the group of friends belonging together. The friends are in space and go to walk out to a bright light when a voice says to one of them that he cannot go but all the others can because he is wearing trainers and says that hes sorry because he doesnt make the rules (very much like the doorman of the UK).

The friends stick by their man and all dont go with one saying in a parting shot "It looks rubbish anyway"

Muller Corner Cherry Chocolate Advert

Muller have struck again with another great advert. This advert is for the new Muller corner cherry chocolate flavoured yoghurt.

This advert starts with an old film but with the backing of newer music, the music is "Alright" by East 17 who were around in the early 1990's.

What makes this advert so interesting and funny is how they mixed the old style, and very unique, dancing with music of the 90's!

You really need to see this new Muller corner cherry chocolate flavoured yoghurt advert.

Kit Kat Checkout Advert

Tghe new Kit Kat checkout advert is hilarious! I just posted the Carling advert and this one came on the television so had to come and post it straight away.

This Kit Kat advert plays on people working like a machine and the age old Kit Kat slogan "Have a breakm, have a Kit Kat". The man in the advert acts like a checkout machine in a supermarket by picking each item and putting it past his head and saying "Boop" like the checkout machines do.

What makes this Kit Kat checkout advert funny and has got people interesting is the last "Boop" when hes straining with a bag of potatoes....please watch its hilarious.

Carling Belong Explorer Advert

Carling have always strived to make interesting and innovative adverts and their latest series is nothing but class.

This Carling belong explorer advert plays on the theme of mates belonging together. These friends are in a snow storm in the Arctic (or some where similar) and are sitting in a tent when their radio dies. One of the lads says "Are we going out" and the other lads are like dont push your look the weathers bad....I wont give it away but this is a top advert that needs to be watched.

Lynx Instinct Advert

Ive not always been keen on Lynx adverts but the new Lynx Instinct advert is an exception. This advert plays on the motto "Unleash your man leather" and is based on caveman times.

Some cavemen find a can of Lynx when they accidently drop a boulder and it splits to reveal the Lynx inside. One of the cavemen sprays himself, sorts his hair out and gets himself a sweet ride then goes for the ladies!

This is a great advert, its fun, interesting and original....plus I think the ending is funny :-D

The song in the advert is Cody Chesnutt - Look Good In Leather

Heinz Mayo Advert -- New York Deli

Heinz were advertising their new New York Deli flavoured mayo in the summer of 2008 and to their surprise the advert got banned within a week!

The advert plays on a family getting ready in the morning with the wife in the kitchen preparing food, the kids grabbing their pack lunch and running out the door and the husband taking his sandwiches on the way to work....normal family you would think. What the twist is with this advert is that the mother is actually a burly New York deli male cook and at the end he asks the father where his kiss goodbye is (as if he was the wife).

This is a great advert but because of the two men kissing in the advert it got banned, well Heinz I still give it a great thumbs up.

Cadburys Moving Eyebrows Advert

Cadburys have struck again with a really funny, interesting and original advert...this time for their Dairy milk bars.

This advert has just been aired in the UK and is already becoming a much talked about topic with many people laughing at its ingenuity.

The advert centres on two children who are dancing by moving their eyebrows to music, the dancing becomes very intense after a time because of the music speeding up. One of the children, a girl, then produces a balloon and uses the balloon to add to the music affect.

This is a funny advert, I love how cadburys use totally unrelated but interesting ways to advertise and this Cadburys dairy milk moving eyebrows advert is certainly one of their best.

Samuel L Jackson Barclays Advert

About a year or so ago Barclays commissioned an amazing advert directed by Jonathan Glazer. This Barclays advert had Samuel L Jackson walking down the road talking about whether money is evil, his belief is that money is not evil and its just the love of money that makes evil.

this is an amazing advert, even in its simplicity. Samuel L Jackson is such a great actor that he makes this advert come alive with his actions and the way he projects the words. I absolutely loves this Barclays advert.

Hovis Bread Advert

Who ever would have thought I would be posting an advert for bread! Well this advert for Hovis bread is great.

This Hovis advert is based on the fact that the bread they make today is as great as it has always been. The advert shows a boy pick up the loaf of bread froma shop and follows his travels home, the twist is that as he is moving from street to street the time he is in jumps a decade.

The advert starts back in the early 1900's just before the Titanic takes her maiden voyage and jumps through the 40's, 50's and so on to the present day.

This is a great advert if ever I saw on, it is also an advert that will capture the minds of all, young and old.

Monkey And Al PG Tips Advert

PG Tips have been using the Monkey and Al (Johnny Vegas) combination in their adverts for a long time, but these adverts still dont get boring....in fact they are getting better with time!

This latest installment of the Monkey and Al saga shows them doing a Morecambe and Wise routine with hilarious results. What supports this great routine is the backing music of "The Stripper" by David Rose, a classic song recorded in 1962 used for a classic advert.

PG Tips, keep the Monkey and Al adverts coming, we all love them...and Johnny Vegas.

T-Mobile - Life Is Made For Sharing

Yesterday I saw what is probably the best advert that has been on the television for a very long time, the advert is T-Mobile - life is made for sharing.

This advert was shot in Liverpool train station on 15th January and starts with people all waiting around in the train station before music comes over the tannoy. When the music starts a large group of people start a huge selection of choreographed dances as different songs play.

What is amazing about this is that it was done as public were walking around also waiting for the trains, guess what....alot of the public ended up joining in the dancing.

The advert finishes with two girls laughing as they look at their mobiles after recording the dancing and then the slogan T-Mobile Life is made for sharing comes up.

T-Mobile, this should end up with some kind of advertising award this is a master piece in advertising.

Compare the Meer Kat Advert

Comparethemarket.com have really gone to town on their latest advert by using a posh Russian meer kat called Aleksandr. The meer kat is cute and funny while advertising gocompare.com rather well.

The advert plays on Aleksandr the Meer Kat saying he is Aleksandr the Meer kat from comparethemeerkat.com and that he keeps getting Emails from people who want cheaper car insurance. He goes on to say that people are going to the wrong site and they should visit Comparethemarket.com if they want cheaper car insurance.

I love this advert and think its great, so I just had to post it.

Bring on the Trumpets Advert

The Natural Confectionary Company bought out a series of adverts to advertise their natural Sweets with no artificial colours or flavours. My favourite of all these adverts was the "Bring on the trumpets" advert where a bear sits up high shouting out "Bring on the trumpets" while a snake below is wondering what is going on.

This advert is clever because of its simplicity and also for the fact that it grabs your attention, this really is a great advert well done The Natural Confectionary Company.

Volkswagen Golf Matrix Advert

The new Volkswagon Golf advert is a masterpiece in advertising. The new Volkswagen advert is advertising the VW new Golf VI Mk6. Some people have alikened this advert to the Matrix but I dont see this.

The idea of the advert is that the chief designer of Volkswagon really needs to beat himself in order to create the best Golf Volkswagon has ever released to the car market. The designer constantly fights with himself winning every battle.

In the background you can hear a song saying eins, zwei, drei, vier (one, two, three, four in German).

I love this Volkswagon advert and think you will too.

Frank Pablo the Dog Advert

The British government have a drug awareness campaign called FRANK. very time a new advertising campaign for FRANK comes on the TV it is always interesting, intelligent, thought provoking and sometimes even humourous.

The new FRANK television advert called Pablo the dog is certainly up there as probably the best advert FRANK have produced. The advert really gets a point across while keeping a humourous tone. The voices of the characters are played by two British comedians, David Mitchell and Dom Jolly.

Pablo the dog is found as he has been used as a drug mule, but the advert plays on Pablo on the drug scene and everything that goes with it. Well done FRANK.

Muller Yoghurt Lick The Lid Of Life

This Muller advert was on long ago back in 2008 :) but I thought it would be a great advert to put up today, New Years day.

This Muller advert plays on the motto, lick the lid of life and has people aged one to one hundred in the advert to advertise Muller yoghurt.

The man who is 100 in the advert was actually spotted by an agent of the advertising company who found his birthday listed in the Elstree and Borehamwood times.

This is a great and touching advert.
